Biography
Franklin is a directing duo consisting of Anni & Linda.
Together, they create commercials, but as solo artists, they also individually direct documentaries and narrative films.
The creative duo with queer and Iranian backgrounds started off directing films on topics like diversity and queerness – stories about their own communities important to their generation. With these topics they have now entered the commercial stage aiming to tell stories of real people and crossing visual boundaries by mixing realism with aesthetics in their work. They thrives in inventing new formats that seek the unexpected in its visual storytelling.
Annika Franke born in 1993, speaks Khmer fluently and has a degree in Cultural Anthropology & Southeast Asian Studies.
Linda-Shiva Klinkhammer born in 1993, doesn’t speak Farsi (quite) fluently, studies directing at University of Television and Film Munich.
