Biography
Klaus Kneist is a DIRECTOR and DOP based in Berlin.
Whether directing, shooting, or both, Klaus is known for his bold, energetic and immersive work, especially in the fields of automotive, sport and lifestyle.
Growing up near the Alps, he developed an early connection to the outdoors and outdoor sports. This naturally led him towards dynamic camera movements which became an important part of his visual language.
His approach combines a strong sense of motion, design and staging with a cinematic eye shaped by narrative filmmaking.
Beyond advertising, Klaus has also made his mark in feature film. His latest work as a DP became Kenya’s official Oscar entry and earned him a nomination for the ASC Spotlight Award (American Society of Cinema-tographers), solidifying his place as a versatile and sought-after visual storyteller.
